    4. It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.

    Pranay

Pranay started travelling by himself at the age of 11 when he was in school. As a result many parents were motivated and trained their children to travel from residence to school and back by public transport. For the last 18 years Pranay has been using public transport (B.E.S.T. bus) independently to move around in Mumbai.

    Jijo

Jijo is an enigma and a living example of what one can achieve if they put their heart and soul into their passion, even if they are bound by limitations. It is this unflinching focus that inspires all of us in his family to strive towards the impossible and help him make his dreams come true.

    Karishma

Karishma’ s work of art is a triumph in the face of overwhelming odds. Her every stroke of brush in creating her paintings is a great achievement and it means so much as it is hard won, for Karishma is a intellectually challenged girl born with a condition called downs syndrome.

    Jai Gulati

Jai Gulati had a great start to mainstream schooling with Kangaroo Kids, in 2005. He was always filled with enthusiasm to be an active part of his peer group. He got some great special educators and mainstream teachers. Dr Rekha Ramachandran guided us about his early intervention, schooling and health needs.

    Sahil

Sahil Singh has Down syndrome. He is 23 years old and despite his congenital mental & physical challenges, he has always been a big achiever and an all-rounder. With sheer determination, grit and hard work he overcame his disabilities and has achieved what appeared impossible at his birth.

    Unnathi

Unnathi was born on 10th Jan 2006. We were informed of her diagnosis at birth. I had never heard the term Down Syndrome before and so I didn’t know what to expect. The doctors and nurses at the hospital had sympathy and apology written all over their faces. It wasn’t how I had expected my daughter to be welcomed in this world.

    Tejal & Niti

Swasaksham – Life-skills course is just out of the world. I really wish I had known this when Sahil was younger. But it’s never too late. Dr. Nina has conceptualized this course for our young adults so beautifully and her way of teaching them & guiding us parents is just amazing. The contents of the course are very useful and important for independent living. They had not been covered in Sahil’s schooling and various other courses he has attended. Sahil has become more confident, self-reliant and independent after this course. It has boosted my confidence in him too. I can trust him more for various day-to-day activities now. This course has actually led him to think and live independently. This course has also changed my perspective towards his present and future life.
Thank you Nina ma’am from the core of our hearts for such an enlightening experience.
Looking forward to Season 2 of Swasaksham for adults 😌☺️
