Jai Gulati had a great start to mainstream schooling with Kangaroo Kids, in 2005. He was always filled with enthusiasm to be an active part of his peer group. He got some great special educators and mainstream teachers. Dr Rekha Ramachandran guided us about his early intervention, schooling and health needs. He is 18 years old now and goes to Sanskriti School in Chanakyapuri in New Delhi. For his academics we enrolled him in OBE . His journey was not easy as he did not receive any academic support for his examinations. We are happy to share that he has passed his Class X examination, NIOS. He has been participating in Special Oympics in Athletics. He also won laurels at National level in Special Olympics for Swimming at Bhopal.
He had great sports trainers with whom he would practice regularly.
Jai started learning classical Tabla Instrumental from his Guru Shri Subhash Chandra in 2016 in New Delhi. He has passed his second year of Tabla and is now preparing for his third year examinations.
Jai has two caring and devoted sisters who have never treated him as a special sibling. Their guidance since childhood motivated him to do all the normal chores and meet his daily challenges.
At school, Jai is being trained in Baking and IT in his Vocational Program with great teachers.
Jai has been nurtured into an independent, responsible, caring and empathetic person.
