Palak was born on July 7 1992 in Navsari, Gujarat. She is a Down syndrome child, so Palak’s parents started early intervention immediately after birth and so she is connected and accepted not only by all her family members, but also everyone around her and all the people she meets. She went to Ahmedabad with her grandfather Mr. B.K. Pandya and was admitted at Santvan school for special needs children with Ms. Amola Thakor and Mr. Anwar as the occupational therapist associated with the school. Palak was the light for other children and the staff. Gradually she started helping other children. Mr. B.K. Pandya developed all the necessary and basic things in Palak as Down syndrome kids require special attention and care for their grooming. Palak communicated very well since a very early age. She was taught to recite Sanskrit verses and hence her pronunciations are very clear from the beginning. Mr. B.K.
